In the first nine months of the year, the volume of car and motorbike sales went up as gross series by 11.7 percent, and as adjusted series by 12.9 percent year-on-year, data released by the National Institute of Statistics (INS) shows.
During the period surveyed, the volume of the turnover for market services to the population increased both as gross series by 14.1 percent as well as as adjusted series according to the number of working days and seasonality, with 12.6 percent.
According to the INS, between January 1 and September 30, 2017, compared with the same period in 2016, the volume of turnover for wholesale and retail, maintenance and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, gross series increased by 11.7 percent increases in motorcycle trade, related parts and accessories; maintenance and repair of motorcycles (44.0 percent), maintenance and repair of motor vehicles ( 25.7 percent), trade of motor vehicles (9.8 percent) and trade of motor vehicle parts and accessories (9.0 percent).
Over the same period, the volume of turnover for wholesale and retail trade, maintenance and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, adjusted series according to the number of working days and seasonality, increased by 12.9 percent.
