The winners of the 12th edition of Business Review Awards were announced during an exclusive gala that was attended by around 200 high-ranking representatives of the business environment on Monday evening.
For BR Awards 2017, the jury looked at over 100 nominees and selected 43 companies, entrepreneurs, executives and business leaders.
So here are the winners in the main categories and the honorary awards and distinctions that were granted by Business Review:
Romanian low-cost airline Blue Air won in the Best Comeback Strategy category
eMAG Foundation was awarded for the Best Community Development Initiative
Romanian R&D company FlashNet was declared winner in the Innovation in Technology category
Re.Flex was named the Best Start-up – a new award that was granted for the first time this year
ImpactHub and ING Bank got the Best Start-up Supporter Award for Startarium
Teach for Romania got an Honorary Award
Retailer Mega Image won in the Best Employment Initiative category
Radu Georgescu, the founder of Gecad Ventures, was named Business Leader of the Year
Romanian real estate mogul Ovidiu Sandor, of Mulberry Developments, has received a Honorary Award
Polish Enterprise Investor won in the Deal of the Year category for having sold Profi to Mid Europa Partners
Alexandru Geamanu & Laurentiu Banescu of Bere Zaganu were awarded in Entrepreneur of the Year category
Funky Citizens NGO received a distinction for its fact-checking platform Factual
Autonom Group won in the Excellence in Business category
Superbrands Romania received an distinction
