Atlantic Restaurant system, the local operator of fast-food restaurant chain Burger King, has opened its ninth unit in the local network in Romana Square in Bucharest. It is the chain’s first street unit in Romania, and is located on the premises of the former Everest restaurant, one of the first fast-food type of restaurant to open in Bucharest.
Spreading on a 500 sqm surface, the new location has 80 seats and is the largest in the local network. Burger King has eight restaurants in Bucharest and one in Constanta. The company’s first restaurant opened two years ago in Baneasa Shopping City.
Atlantic Restaurant System is managed by businessmen Eli Davidai and Marius Nasta. Worldwide, Burger King operates 12,000 restaurants. Approximately 90 percent of the company’s restaurants are operated in a franchise system.
