The Bucharest Mayor Office has launched a tender for the acquisition of 400 new buses with air conditioning for the Autonomous Agency of Bucharest Transport (RATB), says a decision published in the Electronic System of Public Acquisitions. According to the announcement, the contract is estimated at RON 510.5 million (over EUR 100 million), without VAT.
The acquisition focuses on 320 buses of 12 meters, 50 buses of 10 meters and 30 articulated buses of 18 meters with a minimum capacity of 135 travelers. Each bus will have air conditioning, but also systems that will prevent the fuel theft.
The Bucharest Mayor Office published in SEAP on July 1 the tender for the acquisition of buses for four years.
According to the assignment book, all buses need to have a floor rolled down on all the surface, mechanical ramp for the access of persons with disabilities, as well as heating installation and air conditioning for travelers, as well as for the driver. They also have to function on diesel and biodiesel.
The buses need to have installed equipment for the computation of the travelers’ number, TFT/LED monitors for information and advertising and a video surveillance camera.
