Several tourism targets in the Romanian capital will be revamped after financing contracts were inked by the Ministry of Tourism and the Bucharest City Hall, with the total value of the contracts exceeding EUR 20 million (RON 90 million), most of them being financed from reimbursable funds, according to a press release from the Ministry of Tourism.
The contracts will see the modernization of the Triumph Arch in order to integrate the monument in the tourism circuit. Several exhibition spaces and a way of access for tourists will be created, with a view to attracting 25,000 tourists in the first year since its opening.
Also, the contracts will also help revamp the area between the Iuliu Maniu Blvd. – Virtutii St.- Politehnica Alley- Cetatuia Alley, where the infrastructure will be modernized.
