President Klaus Iohannis will hold talks with PM Dacian Ciolos, governor of the National Bank of Romania (BNR) and several political leaders at the Cotroceni Palace from 11am.
“I invited today, at Cotroceni Palace, starting with 11 am, Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos, BNR governor Mugur Isarescu and leaders of political parties, for consultations on the results of the UK referendum,” Iohannis wrote on his official social media page.
Spokesman of Senate Speaker Calin Popescu Tariceanu will not attend the meeting at Cotroceni Palace. According to Andrei Alexandru, Tariceanu “did not prepare an analysis on the impact of the exit of the United Kingdom from the European Union. He will make this analysis in the coming days.”

According to polls, 52 percent of UK voters opted for Brexit, and the remaining 48 percent voted for the UK to remain a member of the European Union. The turnout was 72.2 percent.
