Branding agency Grapefruit becomes market leader according to 2009 turnover

In spite of the negative trend currently affecting the local branding market, 11-year-old branding agency Grapefruit ranks highest on the market according to the EUR 690,000 turnover scored in 2009, according to official data issued by the agency. Thus, Grapefruit reaches a 4 percent growth in turnover compared to 2008, and a 12 percent increase in EUR profitability reported to the same year.

“Clients have become more attentive regarding ROI in branding, thus concentrating on the client’s business objectives (versus simply designing a nice website or a logo) has helped Grapefruit agency grow”, explains Grapefruit Strategy Director, Stefan Liute (in picture).

In spite of the growth registered this year, Liute estimates that 2010 will continue to be difficult for the entire industry, as marketing budgets have been reduced even more consistently this year. Liute considers that an efficient means of overcoming the crisis would be strategic thinking, which should no longer be regarded as “a luxury that can wait”.

In 2009, Grapefruit has worked with clients as Dacia, E.ON, Heidi, Labormed, NNDKP, OTP or UPC. The Dacia brand, managed online by Grapefruit, has been awarded the title of the most popular Romanian online brand by Genius research agency for three years in a row. In the 11 years during which the agency has been present on the market, Grapefruit has worked with over 200 clients on 4 continents and has received several international awards.
