The BR Awards jury had its second meeting this week and is ready to announce the shortlisted nominees for the 11 award categories.
In Best Employer Initiative, the nominees are:
Autonom – in 2017, the largest car rental company in Romania sustained educational initiatives in the community through its Foundation, encouraged employees to read by providing a physical and digital library and offered tens of hours of training to each employee.
DB Global Technology – developed a sustainable recruitment process and ran a massive repatriation project which aimed to bring back Romanian expats in the IT field by understating their needs and views on Romania’s evolution.
Mega Image – the most notable HR strategy in 2017 was targeting senior citizens for recruitment, who usually have a hard time finding jobs, and as a result increasing the number of senior employees aged 50+ by over 17 percent.
Zitec – launched Makeit.software, a website dedicated to Zitec employees, where others can learn about the team, see the office and be encouraged to join; led to a significant increase in the number of internal recommendations, which became the most important recruitment source.
Tremend Software Consulting – developed a series of initiatives that make up a continuous learning program in advanced software engineering – Tremend Labs, tech talks, over 50 trainings/year and Cityhack, an experimental learning event with experts who gathered for a 24-hour hackathon focused on Internet of Things solutions.
