UPC Romania, the cable communications operator, announced on Tuesday that starting from October, the new director of the business division is Bogdan Nitu, a manager with 20 years’ worth of experience in companies such as Orange and Philips.
Nitu started his career in sales and then got into top management positions and coordinated the entire financial, commercial, marketing, production, quality, logistics and HR in industries such as telecom, constructions, infrastructure projects, electric materials and industrial technology equipments.

I’m convinced that his wide experience in the field and his strategic perspective will be important assets that will contribute to the UPC Business division evolution for fulfilling our growth objectives,” said Robert Redeleanu, CEO UPC Romania & UPC Hungary.
UPC Business offers communications solutions for companies in several localities within the country and more subsidiaries from the same city. The company can develop private virtual networks, intranet and extranet systems, private phone network, video-conferences, video monitoring. The network covers the Romanian cities Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara, Constanta and Iasi.
UPC Romania gained 52,800 of new subscribers in the last year, reaching 1.24 million clients at the end of June, shows the data of Liberty Global group, the owner of UPC Romania.
