BCR’s profit up by 21 pct on nine months to EUR 225 mln

BCR, the lender controlled by Austrian Erste Bank, has registered a profit of EUR 225.9 million in the first nine months of this year, which is a growth of 21.8 percent compared with the same period of 2015.

The net revenues from interest were worth EUR 285 million, a drop by 14 percent, while the operational revenues were EUR 470 million, a drop by 8 percent versus the same period of 2015.

The operational result was EUR 221 million, which is 15.9 percent lower compared to the similar period of last year.

BCR has announced a revenue of EUR 24.3 million from the Visa Europa shares sale, which compensated with the negative results.

Erste recorded a profit of EUR 1.1 billion in the first nine months of this year.
