Local lender BCR, owned by Austrian bank Erste Bank, has granted EUR 255 million so far through the First House state-backed lending program, having offered loans for over 6,300 housing units through this program, the bank has announced. BCR is currently working on approving 830 new lending filed under the program, with a value of EUR 33 million. The bank has approved 1,600 loan files pending acquisitions documents, worth EUR 78 million in total. The ongoing First House program is schedule to end on February 15, which is the deadline fort signing purchasing contracts under the program. BCR started offering loans under the program in August last year, having alloted the highest threshold, EUR 420 million.
