BCR Leasing financing up by 46 pct in H1 on higher demand in auto segment

BCR Leasing registered a growth of 46 percent of fresh financing in the first semester of this year compared with the same period of the last year. The most important increases were recorded for light commercial vehicles and cars, where the financing volumes grew by 77 percent, respectively 43 percent compared with the first semester of 2015.

The total amount of fresh financing in the first half of the year was valued at EUR 119 million, while the company’s profitability reached RON 14.5 million.

The BCR Leasing portfolio was 79 percent of auto leasing and 21 percent equipments and machinery leasing. The cars and light commercial vehicles represent 30 percent of the total volume of the company’s financing, while the heavy commercial vehicles represent 49 percent.

„In the same manner in which we support the productive sectors from industry, transports, services and trade, we aim to contribute to the financial support of enterprises from agriculture (…) We want to promote our financing products for farmers as solutions to the investements in agricultural equipments, including for co-financing in the case of some projects in progress from European Funds,” said Bogdan Speteanu, general director of BCR Leasing IFN.

The financing for equipments grew by 17 percent compared with the first half of the last year, aiming to continuously increase the sales through the financing of the productive sectors as a priority. Within this segment, 35 percent of the financing went into agriculture, 23 percent in constructions and 17 percent in several industrial sectors.

The micro enterprises and the SMEs constitute 88 percent of the financing portfolio managed by BCR Leasing.
