Banca Transilvania is planning to grow its private banking operations and has estimated a 10 percent growth of business in this area.
At present, the lender has 4,000 private banking clients, out of which 600 are based in Cluj. It has over EUR 800 worth of assets under management in this division. Last year, BT has seen a 18 percent increase in the number of clients, while the asset value moved up by 20 percent.
Horia Ciorcila, the president of the board of administrators at BT, said the lender is forecasting this year a 10 percent increase in the number of assets and clients for private banking.
BT has moved its private banking HQ in Cluj-Napoca in a patrimony building called Casa Alba.
The bank has over 7,300 employees, 550 HQs and 2.2 million customers across Romania.
