Austrian Dunapack Rambox develops a corrugated cardbord factory in Bolintin, near Bucharest

Dunapack Rambox, the local subsidiary of Dunapack Packaging, part of the Austrian group of companies Prinzhorn, will start the construction works of the new plant in Romania, for which he bought over 11 hectares of land in the Bucharest area at the end of last year.

The new 22,ooo sqm factory located in Bolintin, west of Bucharest, which produces corrugated cardboard will work in addition to the already existing Dunapack factory in Sfântu Gheorghe, Covasna. 

Annual output of the factory is projected at 180 million sqm per year. Last year, the Covasna factory, with 223 employees, had a turnover of RON 140 million and a net profit of RON 3.5 million.

The Dunapack Packaging division is part of Austrian-based Prinzhorn Group of companies, own by Prinzhorn Family, which has 4,122 employees in 20 factories in 10 countries. The grouphas an annual turnover of more than EUR 1.2 billion.
