Arvato Bertelsmann starts activity in Bucharest

Arvato Services, owned by the German media group Bertelsmann, has started operations in Bucharest for its customer Opel. Currently 30 persons work in the center and until the year-end the company aims to reach 80 employees within its Bucharest office. The company also announces the appointment of Daniela Micusan as general director of the subsidiary from Romania.

Micusan has over nine years of experience in top management positions for players in BPO, SSC, IT&C and insurances industries.

„We want to expand our presence in Romania so that the partnership with Opel came at the right time. We are now in hiring process for Bucharest office. We aim to reach overall in our Romanian centers over 1,600 employees,” said Matthias Muller, director customer services Nearshore, Arvato Bertelsmann.

Also the center from Brasov has opened a new IT development department that develops software applications for infrastructure industry and public utilities. Until the year-end the company aims to reach 20 programmers.

The Romanian subsidiary of Arvato registered a turnover of approximately EUR 24.7 million in 2016.
