Vehicle leasing provider Arval Romania, owned by BNP Paribas, said its fleet leasing operations grew by 15 percent last year to 7,658 vehicles, which also generated a 12 percent increase in its turnover of EUR 37 million in 2015 compared to the previous year.
The company underlined the fact that 75 percent of the new contracts came from existing clients.
“2015 has been a challenging year for Arval Romania and we are pleased to announce that it ended better than we had forecasted. With almost 17% market share, we are confident that, by placing our clients’ and their drivers’ experiences at the top of our priority list, we have managed to create a winning strategy which generates relevant ROI and confirms the brand’s value,” states Dan Boiangiu, the general manager of Arval Romania.
This year, Arval aims to further expand its fleet to 8,400 vehicles.
Globally, Arval has registered a 8.3 percent increase in the leased fleet to 785,000 vehicles, while orders of new vehicles were up by 9 percent. It has also sold 3 percent more used vehicles.
The acquisition of GE Capital Fleet Services’ activities in Europe brings Arval’s total leased fleet up to 949,000.
