Artmark doubles revenues this year, ending 2011 with EUR 11mln sales

Artmark auction house ended this year with total sales of nearly EUR 11 million, which is close to double compared to last year, a sum which was the result of 25 public auctions organized this year.

The Artmark auctions placed under the hammer over 2,000 art and collection objects, mostly painting, graphics and sculpture, decorative items, memorabilia and collection wines.

The highest-grossing work that went under the hammer at Artmark was In Iatac (in picture), a painting by Nicolae Tonitza which sold for a final price of EUR 290,000.
