Antibiotice sales grew by 9 pct to RON 143.8 mln in H1 on higher exports

The revenues registered in the first semester of drugs maker Antibiotice were RON 143.8 million, a growth of nine percent compared with the same period of 2015, according to the report published on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.

Moreover the gross profit of the first semester reached RON 18.85 million, a growth of 13 percent compared with the gross profit from 2015, when it was RON 16.63 million.

In the first six months of 2016, Antibiotice had a turnover of RON 89.4 million, a growth of 3.5 percent compared with the same period of 2015. According to the market research company Cegedim, Antibiotice had a growth in the first semester of this year compared with 2015, being on the 12th place on the top 30 pharmaceutical companies from Romania.

The revenues from the external markets sales were RON 54.5 million in the first semester of this year, a growth of 18 percent compared with 2015 when the revenues were RON 46.26 million. These results were obtained especially from the finished goods value at export. The main growth of finished goods was on US market, where the deliveries doubled compared with the same period of 2015. Antibiotice exports the penicilin products range in the US.

Also, the exports in Europe doubled, while in Russia and Middle East the exports were mostly at the level from 2015 influenced also by some geo-political factors from some markets.
