ANAF fined event venues RON 667,575 as part of operation ‘Ballroom’

The National Agency of Fiscal Administration (ANAF) gave RON 667,575 in fines to companies that own event venues as part of operation ‘Balroom’, between June 30 – July 4.

In the period surveyed, out of the 227 such companies that were investigated, 95 received fines and 13 received warnings. Moreover, ANAF inspectors illegal revenues and seized RON 2,344 in cash, illegal revenues of RON 28,740 and goods valued at RON 50.

Moreover, ANAF inspectors decided to suspend the activity of five such companies, four of them for failing to equip themselves with fiscal electronic cash registers.

“The main objective of the audit was to check the sums collected from renting the space where the event is taking place and / or the related services (catering, drinks, artistic program, DJ, etc.) are taxed,” ANAF said in a press release.

ANAF representatives said the campaign will continue in the next period.
