Amway Romania’s GM gets appointed European sales department manager

George Popescu, presently the GM of Amway Romania will be the new manager of the European sales department for the company’s Atlas project. He’s appointment takes effect after a new GM for Amway Romania will be selected, which should happen before January 2012, the company has announced.

Popescu began his career with Amway in 1997 as programmer – IT analyst. Until 2002 he was software developer for Amway Corporation – USA when he got promoted IT project manager for Eastern Europe. In this position, he was involved in setting up operations in the Ukraine and Russia.

He has been the GM of Amway Romania for the past 6 six years.
