ALKA Group will invest over EUR 11.5 million in the construction of a new production capacity for biscuits and salty snacks near Ploiesti.
The new plant will cover 10,000 square meters and will be located in The Industrial Park Ploiesti. The FMCG player saying that this will be a full chain investment, which will also include storage spaces for raw materials and the shop for the sale of products.
Out of the total investment figure, over EUR 3.5 million represents a private co-financing, while EUR 2.4 million is state aid. Some 100 new jobs are set to be created in the first phase of the investment.
“We have decided to open a new production facility, in addition to the one we already had in Bucharest,” said Ady Hirsch, CEO ALKA Group.
In 2016, the group recorded a turnover of RON 155 million and over 600 employees.
