Airports operator announces bid for Baneasa airport development study

Aeroporturi Bucuresti SA is organizing the an open bud to attribute a contract for a pre-feasibility and feasibility study looking at potential development pathways for the Baneasa Aurel Vlaicu airport in Bucharest. The estimated value of the contract is EUR 450,000.

Several objectives are mentioned within the medium- term development strategy of the Baneasa Aurel Vlaicu international airport: the implementation of the “city airport” concept, which includes works concerning the reorganization of the existent passengers terminal and the development of  the needed infrastructure to take over for business and general aviation traffic; the development of additional infrastructure and support facilities needed for air-traffic activities, the development of terrestrial transport infrastructure to improve access to the airport.
