Yuri Botnari anniversary concert in Chisinau and Bucharest

The Radio Chamber Orchestra is dedicating a special anniversary concert to conductor Yuri Botnari, celebrating 65 years of age. Yuri Botnari, principal conductor and artistic director of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Barcelona and conductor of the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, will be leading the orchestra.

The concert will take place in Chisinau on Monday, March 2, at the Organ Hall, and will be repeated in Bucharest on March 23, at the Radio Hall.

The program for the evenings includes Concerto no. 5 for piano and orchestra – also called The Imperial and The Second Symphony by Beethoven, along with a sheet bearing the signature of contemporary composer Vladimir Beleaev: Ascensius.

Organized by the Royal Music Society Foundation in collaboration with Radio Romania, the event will also feature internationally acclaimed pianist Sergey Kuznetsov, laureate of prestigious competitions: China International Piano Competition (Beijing, 2004), the Hilton Head International Piano Competition ( USA, 2003), Caltanissetta International Competition (Italy, 1999), International Piano Competition – Houston (USA, 2005).

The concert can be heard live on Radio Romania Cultural all frequencies and Radio Romania Musical from home and live streaming on the Internet at www.romania-muzical.ro and www.radioromaniacultural.ro.

Tickets are available on www.eventim.ro, in Germanos, Orange, Vodafone, Domo, Carrefour, Carturesti, Humanitas, in OMV filling stations and the Radio Hall ticket office.
