Two E.ON companies in Romania will merge

E.ON Gaz Distributie will absorb E.ON Moldova Distributie as part of a merger process which will end by December 31.

E.ON Gaz Distributie has a share capital of RON 282.4 million, while E.ON Moldova Distributie has a capital of RON 499.7 million. After the merger, the former will have a share capital of RON 773. 2 million.

E.ON Gaz Distributie supplies natural gas to 1,000 cities and locations in Transylvania. E.ON Moldova Distributie supplies electricity to counties in Moldova: Bacau, Botosani, Iasi, Neamt, Suceava, Vaslui.

E. ON Gaz distributie has assets worth RON 1.8 billion and debts of RON 589.8 million. E.ON Moldova Distributie has assets of RON 2.4 billion and debts of RON 645 million.

After the merger, E.ON Gaz Distributie will have the following shareholder structure

– E.ON Romania – 61.79 percent of shares

– Economy Ministry – 13.51 percent

– Electrica SA – 6.34 percent

– Property Fund – 18.34 percent.
