The World Cup is always a good stage for future football stars and the players that manage to get on the top with their performance usually find teams that pay huge sums of money for them. Football is a show this days and the players get the a lot more money than they used to.

The biggest amount ever paid for the transfer of a player is that of Neymar de Silva Santos Junior from FC Barcelona to Paris Saint Germain for EUR 222 million. PSG bought Neymar in 2017, but it may sell him very soon according to the rumors that all the major newspapers are showing today.

Real Madrid is the team apparently interested in Neymar and Kylian Mbappe. The French player is considered one of the best at the World Cup after powerful performances in the matches that managed to get France to the quarter-finals. In the next game Mbappe will meet Neymar’s Brazil, a match that can set the new standard for the most expensive transfer.

The problem that Real Madrid is facing it’s to replace Cristiano Ronaldo, who is on the way to Juventus Turin. The Italian team is, apparently, willing to pay EUR 120 million for the player and give him a yearly wage of EUR 30 million for a three year contract. Cristiano Ronaldo has a termination cause at Real Madrid of EUR 1 billion, but there might be an agreement that cuts the sum to EUR 120 million. The player was bought by Real Madrid in 2009 for EUR 94 million.

If Ronaldo leaves Real Madrid, than Jorge Valdano, the new manager of the team, must find a suitable replacement. This is why the rumors have a chance to be true.

Buying Neymar would be very expensive, with price tag of EUR 350 million for the transfer and a yearly wage of EUR 45 million for the next 7 years. Still, it is not easy to get the former player of Barcelona to Madrid. Set aside of the money and you can find thousands of angry fans, not willing to accept easy a former star of Barcelona.

This is why it is more likely for Real Madrid to buy to rising star Kylian Mbappe. Apparently, the team from Madrid is willing to pay PSG EUR 275 million for Mbappe, which would be a new record (if Neymar transfer fails). Mbappe wasn’t cheap for PSG, the team that bought the contract from AS Monaco last year and paid EUR 180 million.

Among the rumors is also the one that Real Madrid is willing to sell Marco Asensio to Liverpool for EUR 180 million, although the English team denied interest.

Real Madrid also denied officially all the rumors, but it is obvious that transfers will be made right after the World Cup and before the European season begins.
