The vernissage of the “PERSPECTIVE” exhibition with paintings by Alina Ciuciu and Daciana Pszota takes place on Saturday, 22 May at 17:30, in the lobby of the SkyTower building, the tallest office building in Romania.

The painting exhibition is the first cultural event organised this year by SkyTower within the SkyCreatives programme, an open source programme through which SkyTower offers young artists and entrepreneurs an iconic location for their projects.

The “PERSPECTIVE” exhibition brings together the reinterpretation of famous works by Brâncuși in the vision of the painter Daciana Pszota, and with the atmosphere of serenity carefully studied in Alina Ciuciu’s paintings. It will be open to the public in the lobby of the SkyTower building between 22-30 May with no admission fees. The event takes place after a slight relaxation of general rules in the context of the pandemic, while respecting the sanitary conditions to ensure the safety of visitors. The access to the exhibition will be permanent.

“We are glad that we can host and show the paintings of two Romanian artists, already well-known abroad, at SkyTower, and that we can bring their works before the local public. It is a first event of this kind in our SkyCreatives programme, and very soon we hope to bring new cultural events to the local public and to the SkyTower community. We are considering theatre plays and concerts that can be organised on the esplanade of the building,” said Ramona Boca, PR & Marketing Coordinator at RPHI Romania, management and ownership company of SkyTower.

Painter Alina Ciuciu, originally from Oradea, is established in Italy, where she created most of her works, in which she superimposes the beauty of the present over a sweet nostalgia for the past, the history of objects and symbols. Alina has exhibited in numerous group exhibitions in Italy, but also in other European cities, starting with her hometown, Oradea, then Berlin, Monte Carlo, Paris, Budapest, London, and Copenhagen.

Having a vernissage in Bucharest is a dream come true for me. The exhibition is an invitation to introspection through the shapes, colours, allegories and even the irony that the visitor feels starting from the message of the paintings. Apart from my own vision, what is more important for me is what everyone sees and interprets, based on their experience, feelings and own personality, said painter Alina Ciuciu.

Daciana Pszota is a self-taught artist based in France, where she attends ÉCOLE D’ARTS APPLIQUÉS. She is a member of the Hesdin Artists Association in France and a local councilwoman. Daciana’s paintings are inspired by life, her own emotions, especially by spirituality, and many of her works have made way into private collections in the USA, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Romania. One of her paintings was exhibited by France’s first lady, Brigitte Macron, at the Élysée Palace in Paris.

“The collection presented at the PERSPECTIVE exhibition has a strong Brâncuși inspiration. The idea started from a thought, and as I studied, I also found out that this year marks 145 years since his birth. All the paintings represent his works and are adapted in a personal way, in which I tried to instil more meaning. I consider this collection a tribute to this artistic genius, Constantin Brâncuși,” said painter Daciana Pszota.
