Romanian company Vivre, the largest online home and deco retailer in Central and Eastern Europe, has streamlined its operations in Europe by opening a second processing center in Slovakia, along with its logistics partner in the region.

With a total area of 3,000 sqm, the new logistics center serves five of the nine countries where the Vivre brand is present: Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovenia and Croatia. The project implements the best practices and technologies of the Romania center with personalized optimizations, technical equipment and flows designed to serve both the small products (decorations and accessories) and the furniture and other large products.

The technology-driven approach makes it possible to deploy and optimize a logistics chain from over 1,000 vendors to reach nearly 500,000 unique customers.

The new logistics center has already received an initial investment of about EUR 1 million in equipment, infrastructure and commodities, with 50 people packager orders, quality control and delivery of packages in five countries totally unrelated to the processing center in Romania.

The supply chain for the Slovak center is integrated with the start-to-end commodity and service providers and represents an important hub in the Vivre ecosystem. For the next two years, new investments are scheduled to support the growth of processed volumes.

”The opening of a new processing center at the heart of the serviced region naturally came in the context of the geographical expansion of Vivre sales in CEE in recent years. The delivery times and the quality of the products sold on the site are strategic elements of the Vivre experience, with the new investment contributing to streamlining processing times and increased transport safety. In Slovakia, half of the orders that were previously processed in Romania are already managed, which helps us to be closer and strengthen the confidence of our consumers in these markets. In the next period, we will make more efforts and we will invest even more, because tens of thousands of products on the site to reach to their homes quickly and efficiently, ”said Monica Cadogan, CEO Vivre.

Before the new warehouse was opened in Slovakia, orders for the entire region were processed and shipped from Romania. The new project streamlines the flow, ensuring a better delivery time and greater storage capacity – by default, more products are in stock, delivering in 3-5 business days. The opening of the new center is part of Vivre’s Europe expansion strategy – at this time, the online platform serves a market of about 100,000,000 Europeans.

Vivre was launched in April 2012, and aggregates furniture, decorations, textiles and accessories collected from manufacturers all over the world.

Currently, Vivre is the leading online retailer in the home & deco industry in Romania, selling sales in 9 countries in Central and Eastern Europe: Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Poland and Greece added to the portfolio in 2018. Vivre has a permanent offer of over 60,000 product types and a history of over 3 million orders delivered successfully.
