Romanian industrial prices up 0.4 percent in January, says Eurostat

Industrial producer prices in Romania gained 0.4 percent in January against the previous month, and 5.4 percent versus January of last year, according to data released by Eurostat last Friday.

In the Euro zone and EU 27, prices gained 0.7 percent in January against the previous month. Industrial prices increased by 3.7 percent in the Euro zone and 4.4 percent in EU 27 in January 2012 versus January 2011.

Prices in the energy sector rose in the Euro zone and EU 27 by 2.2 percent and 2.1 percent against the previous month, and by 9.2 percent and 9.5 percent versus January 2011.

Durable consumer goods increased in the Euro zone and EU 27 by 0.5 percent and 0.3 percent versus December 2011, and by 2.4 percent against January 2011.

Intermediate goods increased by 0.4 percent in January against the previous month and by 3 percent and 3.5 percent in the Euro zone and EU 27.

Capital goods rose by 0.3 percent and 0.2 percent in the Euro zone and EU27 versus December 2011 and by 1.3 percent and 1.5 percent versus January 2011.

Non-durable consumer goods rose by 02 percent and 0.3 percent in the Euro zone and EU 27 against the previous month and by 3 percent and 3.5 percent versus January of last year.
