Romanian economy grows by 4.9 pct of GDP in the first nine months

The economy went up by 4.9 percent of the GDP in the first nine months of the year, because of consume, respectively 4.8 percent adjusted seasonally depending on the working days. The GDP registered a growth by 4.4 percent in the third quarter of the year compared with the same period of the last year, according to the data of the National Institute of Statistics (INS).

The industry was the field with the highest share in GDP, of 22.7 percent, followed by consumption with a share of 17.4 percent. The net taxes per product had a share of 10.6 percent.

The consumption had an important contribution in the economy growth not only in GDP formation. Out of the share of 4.9 percent of economy growth during January-September, consumption has a share of 1.9 percentage points and it refers to wholesale and retail, hotels and restaurants and the cars and motor cars repair.

The rest of 3 percentage points comprise information and communications, industry, professional activities, scientific and technical, activities from administrative services, support activities and net taxes per product.

The data shows a maintenance of the economic growth compared with the second quarter of the year, when the Romanian GDP grew by 6 percent compared with the same period of 2015 and by 1.5 percent compared with the first quarter.

Romanian GDP grew by 4.6 percent in the third quarter of the year compared with the same period of 2015.
