The estimated budget for Romania’s presidency of the Council of the EU is between EUR 60 and 80 million, according to Daniel Gosea, general manager of the Presidency of the Council of the EU (UPP EU).

”We are talking about the SPP and the Ministry of Internal Affairs with which we have defined the transport mode, the columns, the column format, the routes in Bucharest, and I can tell you that we did the same for Sibiu, ” Gosea said.

Concerning the budget of the Romanian presidency, the official presented figures compared to countries that previously held the presidency of the EU Council.

”We are trying to balance the opportunity for promotion and efficient and rational use of public money, for which we have decided to allocate a budget comparable to that allocated by states that we can compare as economic power. We want to allocate a budget between eur 60 and 80 million, ” concluded Gosea, who explained that a final budget can be communicated towards the end of this year.
