Real estate transactions increased with 1,900 in September, to 42,500

More than 42,500 properties were sold in September at the country level, with around 1,900 more than in August, with most of the sale and purchase transactions being recorded in Bucharest and Ilfov County, according to the National Cadastre Agency and Real Estate Advertising (ANCPI).

The number of homes, land and flats that were the subject of sale-purchase contracts nationwide in September this year is 15,256 lower than in the similar period of 2017.

Most of the real estate sales were recorded in September 2018 in Ilfov – 6.196, Bucharest – 5.698 and Cluj – 2.148. The counties with the fewest real estate sold during the same period are Olt – 152, Tulcea – 152 and Gorj – 150.

The number of mortgages at national level in September 2018 was 21,815, down by 1,830 against September 2017. Most of these operations were recorded last month in Bucharest – 5.454, Ilfov- 2.265 and Cluj – 1.389. On the opposite side there are the counties of Harghita – 59, Covasna – 52 and Salaj – 44.

The counties where most of the agricultural land was sold in the ninth month of 2018 are Dolj – 642, Timis – 573 and Constanta – 444.
