Orbis will manage a new ibis Styles hotel in Bucharest, scheduled to open in Q1 2020

Orbis Hotel Group, a leading hotel operator in Eastern Europe and a strategic partner of AccorHotels, further strengthens its leading position in the Romanian capital by signing a management contract for a new ibis Styles hotel that will open in the city center in 2020.

“Eastern Europe offers new, exciting destinations for both corporate and leisure travelers from around the globe. On top of that, the economies of countries in this part of the world are on the rise along with their domestic purchasing power. We definitely see the potential and that is why we are dynamically expanding our hotel network in this region under AccorHotels’ brands. We currently have 129 hotels in 12 countries and have more than 40 other projects secured,” said Gilles Clavie, president of the management board & CEO of Orbis.

The new ibis Styles Bucharest City Center, expected to open in Q1 2020, is developed in partnership with the Romanian owner and investor Dentotal Hospitality, and will be managed by Orbis.

ibis Styles Bucharest City Center will be located on Stirbei Voda, within walking distance from the Athenaeum, the Royal Palace, the National Opera House and the main train station Gara de Nord. It will offer 152 guest rooms, including family rooms and rooms for disabled guests, a restaurant, a bar, meeting rooms and its own parking area.

The emblematic Romanian blouse called “ia” will be the inspiration for the interior design of ibis Styles Bucharest City Center. The goal is to present the beautiful local artwork and modernity of Romania to the hotel’s guests.

The ibis Styles brand comprises more than 420 hotels globally, in 45 countries.
