MOL Romania’s fuel retail sales up by 12 pct in H1

MOL Romania’s fuel retail sales continued to grow up by 12 percent in the first half of the year, while the gas sales increased by 1 percent, compared with the first half of 2016.

Overall, the net profit of MOL group was USD 639 million in the first half of the year, the highest from the last 10 years.

Overall, Mol group improves its estimations on Ebitda result for 2017 to over USD 2.3 billion, as a result of the balance from the first semester.

The Ebitda was USD 1.3 billion in the first semester of 2017, with a high contribution of all business segments.

All the business segments are growing, which generate a growth by 23 percent of the operational results (clean CCS Ebitda) compared with the similar period of 2016.

The segment Gas Midstream (natural gas transport) generated an Ebitda of HUF 31 billion (USD 107 million), a growth by 12 percent compared with the first semester of 2016, based on considerable higher volumes and higher revenues from the tax of transport usage.

The Upstream segment registered solid results in the first half of the year, with an Ebitda of USD 447 million, a growth by 45 percent compared with the similar period of 2016 and generated a cash flow of USD 321 million.

Also the Downstream segment generated record operational results, of USD 186 million in the first half of the year, with a growth by 8 percent compared with the similar period of 2016.

The client service (retail) segment also registered a solid growth of volumes and of non-fuel sector, which generated a record operational Ebitda in the first semester, of USD 150 million, which is 18 percent over the level from the first half of 2016.
