Kellog Company, the global cereal and snacks manufacturer, plans to establish a service centre in the city and is looking for 55 people to join a new finance team to be based there.

The team will be responsible for handling a range of financial processes for Kellogg’s operations across Europe. The service centre will be close to the Aurel Vlaicu Bucharest Metro station and opposite the Promenada Mall.

Kellogg – which makes iconic brands such as Pringles, Corn Flakes and Special K – is advertising for applications from experienced finance professionals and graduates.

Applications will close mid-August and Kellogg expects the new team could be working live from February 1st 2015.

The opening of the Bucharest service centre is part of Kellogg’s move towards implementing a Global Business Services (GBS) model, to create efficiencies, promote collaboration and continuous improvement and to enable people across the company to focus on their core competencies.

Kellogg Europe President Chris Hood said: “Several large companies already have a presence in Bucharest and with the necessary infrastructure and availability of a talented workforce, we felt it was the right choice for the location of Kellogg’s European GBS Service Centre.

“It’s an exciting time to join Kellogg as we look to invest back into our business and really drive growth – we are now looking for the best talent in Bucharest to join us and grow with us.”
