Following the success of the commissioning of its own railway connection and the expansion of its space in Bascov commune, Hödlmayr Logistics Romania aims to put the multimodal transport at the center of its concerns. In order to achieve this objective were invested EUR 400,000.
The concepts of multimodal transport entail the involvement of several means of transport in each delivery process, with the clear aim of always finding the best option to travel between the point of departure and the destination. “In this way we can continue to optimize the delivery times, reduce costs and make a valuable contribution to environmental protection,” as Tamer Sen, Director of Hödlmayr Logistics Romania, points out, briefly highlighting the existing advantages.
Another advantage of Hödlmayr is the independence gained from the development of its own means of operation and rail connections.
“In addition to the special conveyors, we have, for a short period of time, even our own railway connections, directly at the company’s operating point. In collaboration with reliable partners, we can guarantee the delivery process continuously, without encountering obstacles. Currently, 1,500 vehicles are transported weekly,” says Tamer Sen, looking to the future with great optimism.
