Spanish delivery startup Glovo has announced its entry on the Arad market, its 9th Romanian city, after Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara, Iasi, Brasov, Craiova, Constanta and Sibiu.
The app is expected to expand to three new Romanian cities by the end of this year.
Glovo is a marketplace that allows users to order, send and receive anything. The app has predefined categories from which users can choose – Food, Stores, Supermarket, Grocery or Beverages. In addition, with the “Anything” button, users can order anything they want in their city, such as decorative items or sports equipment from their favorite store, as long as it fits within the size of the Glovo box and does not exceed a weight of 9 kg.
The application was launched on the Romanian market in May 2018. So far, in Romania, about 5 million products have been ordered through the Glovo app. Restaurants, Supermarket and Fast Courier are the most popular order categories. Developed an application based on the gaming techniques used in popular online games, for which the successful experience of leaders was used.
Glovo operates in over 257 cities in 33 countries, including all major capitals of Europe and EMEA, such as Rome, Madrid, Paris, Kiev, Nairobi, as well as in 9 countries in South America such as Peru, Argentina, Ecuador and Panama.
