Georgios Argentopoulos will replace Mark Hilton at the helm of Sphera Frachise Group

Sphera Franchise Group, the largest food service industry in Romania listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange announced that Mark Hilton, the Group’s General Manager, will cease his mandate on April 30, 2019 and will be replaced by Georgios Argentopoulos.

Mark Hilton led the team management company that brokered the listing on the Stock Exchange in November 2017, and served as CEO from that time to the present. He will continue to support the Group as strategic consultant to ensure a smooth transition of the management role to its successor.

Sphera also announced that Georgios Argentopoulos will take over as general manager as of May 1, 2019. He successfully led a complex portfolio of businesses in retail, real estate and telecom industries .

I would like to thank, on behalf of the Council and the whole company, for the extraordinary effort that has been made during this time. I am also very pleased with the appointment of Mr. Argentopoulos during this transformation period and I am confident that he will be able to capitalize on all the opportunities that will come to Sphera,” said Cristian Osiac, chairman of the board of directors of the Sphera Franchise Group.

Over the past 9 years, Sphera Franchise Group has developed its restaurant network from 61 to 138 units, with consolidated sales up 3.8 times, to RON 771 million. Among the results, we mention the strengthening of the KFC brand position as a benchmark in the category of which Pizza Hut Dine-In is the main brand chosen to dine in the city on the local market and Pizza Hut Delivery which has become a major player at the level of delivery services in Romania. Also, Taco Bell was launched with unprecedented enthusiasm from consumers and continues to perform very well. Last but not least, in the spring of 2017, Sphera Franchise Group launched KFC in Italy, reaching 10 restaurants to date.
