Oradea-based startup TypingDNA, active in the IT security field, recently received investments from Gecad Ventures and a number of local business angels.
The investment will be used to further the services portfolio in marketing and to increase staff. Gecad Ventures invested alongside Adrian Gheara, Alexandru Negrea, Lucian Todea and Dan Mihaescu.
“We managed to develop an innovative technology with multiple applications in fields such as e-learning, e-banking, corporate and much more. By partnering with an investment fund, such as Gecad Ventures, and by involving some investors with entrepreneurial experience in the IT and cyber-security field we can maximize the potential of this technology,” Raul Popa, CEO and TypingDNA co-founder. Cristian Tamas and Adrian Gheara are the other two co-founders of TypingDNA.
The startup aims to develop a technology that can replace passwords. TypingDNA is in the running in the Startup Spotlight competition of How to Web, scheduled between November 1-2.
