The “Responsibility for Health,” a project designed to ensure a better quality of life for vulnerable groups and to ensure the functioning of key public institutions during the pandemic.

The project will take place in the April 21 – May 31 period, and the beneficiaries will be both private persons and organizations, such as senior centers, foster homes or hospitals. Donations received from large companies will be gathered by FEPRA International and the Green Planet Association (Asociatia Planeta Verde), which will then take care of storing, packaging and distributing the goods. In this endeavor, FEPRA will make available all its logistic, operational, human & financial resources.

“We consider that social responsibility is one of the key factors in the adaptation and recovery process which will follow the difficult times we are facing. The information & awareness campaigns we were used to organize for the citizens will take a secondary role during this period, and we will focus on antoher category of citizens, the more vulnerable one, which need our support to overcome the recent obstacles.” FEPRA International said in a press statement.

Five companies have joined the project so far: Interbrands, Muller, Izvorul Moieciu, VPK Packaging and Perutnina. Any company, or private person can join “Responsibility for Health,” by donating food or medical goods. 10,000 goods were donated so far, from protection equipment to hygiene products or food. The beneficiaries of the donations are: Spitalul Municipal “Dr. Alexandru Simionescu” Hunedoara, Organizația Umanitară CONCORDIA, Casa Bună (Voluntariat copii Ferentari), Ansamblul Social Creștin Măgurele, Fundația Star of Hope România, Asociația Copii pentru Viitor, Asociația Conil, Asociația ȘANSA TA, Asociația FDP Protagoniști în Educație, Asociația Maria Holtzhauser, Asociația Hoffnung România, Asociația Vreau și Eu să Merg,  Asociația pentru Sprijinul Copiilor cu Cerințe Speciale Dr. Katz, Asociația Sindrom Down București, Centrul de Studii Juridice pentru Drepturile Omului,  Asociația Culturală Tonic Production.

“Our organizational culture taught us to view responsibility as a way of life. Responsibility comes together with long-lasting development and sustainability, principles by which our company drives itself. Until now, our main responsibility was to educate and inform people about selective packaging waste collection. Now, we are changing course a bit and focus on the responsibility of giving material support to those who needed it the most. And we are succeeding, helped by many other people and our partners, which showed great empathy and solidarity when we presented this project to them. Through a common effort, we managed to launch this project in a very short period of time, and to come in the aid of vulnerable people or those who are saving lives. We want to thank everyone involved in this project!” Says Sorina Banica, Marketing and Communication Director at FEPRA International.
