EY Romania names new partner in the assurance department

Mihaela Sandu has been appointed partner in the assurance department of EY Romania. She has over 15 years of professional experience, including 12 years with EY Romania. Sandu joined the company in 2001 as a junior, promoting to senior, manager, senior manager and executive director until taking up the current position.

Over the years she has been involved in numerous statutory financial audit projects, audit of financial statements prepared in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and various audits prepared in accordance with other standards such as: financial reporting standards applicable in the U.S. (U.S. GAAP), Germany and France. Sandu has also been involved in due diligence projects and financial consulting, and specializes in services in technology, pharmaceuticals, automotive, construction, media, retail and consumer products.

She is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in the UK and a member of the Chamber of Financial Auditors of Romania since 2005.
