DIY retailer Dedeman will open a new unit on Friday in Targu Jiu, after investing EUR 12 mllion in the new store. Dedeman’s network reaches 40 units nationwide.
Dedeman Targu-Jiu covers 12,000 square meters, has 170 employees and stocks over 45,000 products.
This will be the 4th store opening for Dedeman in 2014 and is part of the retailer’s two-year strategy for expansion, which includes reaching 50 stores by 2016.
Dedeman is the biggest retailer in the construction and interior design industry in Romania and is controlled by Dragos and Adrian Paval. The chain posted a RON 2.67 billion turnover in 2013 with a net profit of RON 288.3 million (EUR 65.2 million)
