Dedeman will open its third Bucharest store on Friday, reaching a national network of 39 units. The 12,000 square meters store is located on Colentina highway and is the result of a EUR 16 million investment.
With over 45,000 products on offer, the store employs 205 people.
“Our strategy of opening at least one unit in every district of Bucharest is one its way to becoming tangible with this first step. By 2015, we hope to have complete coverage of the most important city in the country, to reduce distances, to be more accessible, closer to our clients, from all points of view”, says Dragos Paval, president of Dedeman.
Dedeman still has to finish the tennis field that will be connected to the store, according to a partnership the company signed with Simona Halep. The new tennis field will be placed in the park near Lacul Tei.
Dedeman Colentina is the third store opened by the DIY retailer this year and will soon be joined by the store in Targu-Jiu. The chain hopes to have a 50-store network by the end of 2015.
