Connect44 Romania rented a total of 1,000 square meters of office space in Vox Technology Park Timisoara. The expansion of an additional 750 square meters was signed in March, the contract being valid for five years, with the option to extend the lease period.

Connect44, which operates in the field of telecommunications engineering, will thus open their second regional office in Timisoara. The company, founded in Switzerland, entered the local market in 2017 and is headquartered in AFI Tech Park in Bucharest.

“A clear goal of Connect44 Romania for 2020 continues to be expansion. That is why this year we are focusing on a significant increase in both services and the team. In the current context of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have adapted to the situation and developed the IT infrastructure that will allow our employees to work remotely. Thus, in all our offices worldwide, employees work remotely, from the safety of their own homes. At the same time, simultaneously with the relaxation of the measures imposed by the authorities, we offer our colleagues the opportunity to return to the office, in increased hygiene conditions “, stated Alexandru Cociorvei, General Manager of Connect44 Romania.

In the past few weeks, Vox Technology Park has implemented a series of precautionary measures for the return of the tenants to the building, after the end of the State of Emergency. Two thermal scanners were purchased and installed at the entrances, which automatically measure the temperature of employees and visitors, air cleaning and filtering devices (nebulizers), antiseptic carpets, paper dispensers and sensor-based disinfectants were installed and traffic flows inside the building were redesigned.

“We informed our colleagues who wish to return to the office about the safety measures implemented by the property managers of the buildings in which we operate. At the same time, in our offices in Bucharest and Timisoara, we made sure that we adopted all measures of increased hygiene. We currently have over 200 employees in our offices in Bucharest and Timisoara. In order to achieve our business growth objectives, we continued the recruitment processes during this period, and we will not stop here”, added Alexandru Cociorvei.

“In the current conditions, the entire lease process has been more elaborate, requiring more preparations regarding the effective adaptation of office spaces, including social distancing measures. Regarding Connect44, we are glad that our partnership has proven to be productive, we are focused mainly on employee safety, as well as adapted solutions to support the activity of companies expanding during this period”, stated Vlad Vela, CEO of Vox Property Group, the developer and owner of the Vox Technology Park project in Timisoara.

Vox Technology Park has a leasable area of 26,600 square meters and was completed in Timisoara following an investment of 30 million euros. The project offers unique facilities at national level, such as the possibility of biometric identification through an application that generates a QR code access key after facial or fingerprint recognition, but also competitive advantages for employees, such as spaces and showers for cyclists, food court and fitness room, shopping and service areas. The project also obtained the final green BREEAM certification with an Excellent rating and a total score of 86.7 percent, one of the highest scores obtained by a real estate project in Romania.

Vox Property Group is also developing a unique residential project, Vox Vertical Village, located in the immediate vicinity of the office project. Vox Vertical Village is the first concept of “vertical village” developed locally, to be delivered to the market in early 2020 following an investment of 14 million euros. Over 1,000 trees and shrubs will be placed both on private terraces and in the common interior space.
