Romanian Competition Council (CC) has authorized the takeover of Plus stores by German retailer Lidl.
The authority has evaluated the operation and has concluded that the takeover doesn’t raises significant obstacles from the competition’s point of view.
By taking over Plus stores, Lidl enters Romanian market also on discounter’s segment. The German company was present locally only with Kaufland hypermarket chain.
