Cognizant Softvision Romania Reaches 2,000 Employees. The Company Still Seeking Skilled Digital Engineers

Cognizant Softvision announced it has reached 2,000 employees in Romania, making it one of the largest technology employers in the country and a key software product engineering hub for the company and clients. In addition to hiring more than 400 software engineers since the beginning of the year, the company has also opened new studios in Bucharest, Timișoara, Baia Mare and Cluj.

 

“Hitting 2,000 employees is an important milestone and a strong indicator of our commitment to growth in the region, particularly in a year when we’ve had to navigate COVID-19,” said Mihai Constandis, Country Manager, Head of Romania Studios, Cognizant Softvision. “We moved to a 100% remote operating model since the beginning of the global pandemic, and we plan to continue to operate in this manner and support the health and well-being of our employees as long as the situation requires.”

Cognizant Softvision Romania serves clients in financial services, healthcare, education and consumer products goods industries. The company was recently recognized with an award by Ziarul Financiar as the largest Romanian IT employer during the pandemic.
