BR Awards 2019 | Submit your nominations for the two Best Business Leader of the Year categories (Best CEO of Large Companies & of SMEs)

The 14th edition of Business Review Awards Gala, BR’s flagship event that recognizes outstanding achievements in the business community, will take place on March 4. We want to highlight the 14 categories in which the independent jury will select the winners for their exceptional performance in 2018.

This year, we’re splitting the Best Business Leader category into two sub-categories: Best CEO of Large Companies & Best CEO of SMEs. The award seeks to recognize remarkable achievements of business people that go above and beyond their daily roles and responsibilities as head of companies, local or international.

Last year’s Business Leader of the Year was Banca Transilvania CEO Omer Tetik, who guided the bank through major progress achievements across all business lines.

How are the nominees judged?

The jury takes into account the following criteria before making a decision:

the company’s results measured against the market conditions in the respective industry;
their involvement in improving the business environment and on trying to solve some of the society’s current challenges;
their quality of being key opinion leaders would be an advantage;
The company’s organizational culture: e.g. oriented towards empowering their employees;
The main changes that took place within the company in the last year and the way its leader reacted to (e.g. implementation of digitalization process, a takeover, adjust/extend their activity, etc);
Evidence of the nominee’s achievements and role as a leader within the community;
SMEs (companies with less than EUR 50 million in turnover)
