Romanian women’s appetite for technology continues to grow, the smartphones taking the front place in the top of their preferences, according to the data provided by online retailer Quickmobile. Therefore, in 2016, the number of the women and girls that bought mobile devices grew by 7 percent compared to the previous year. Among the preferred products are the Apple, Samsung or Xiaomi brands
Also, according to their data, the percentage of the women among the total number of clients that bought smartphones from the retailer’s offer was of almost 35 percent in 2016, up 7 percent compared to the previous year.
„Even most of the times the design and the elegance play an essential role for women while choosing their desired smartphone, they started to focus also on the mobile device’s reliability”, said Tudor Tiboc, general manager of Quickmobile.
According to Quickmobile, men pay more for their mobile phones, with the average budget set at RON 2,500 de lei, while the women pay on average RON 1,800.
