Apex Alliance appoints Dutch Harmen Silver as General Manager of the premium Marmorosch Bucharest, Autograph Collection hotel

Harmen Silver, a hospitality manager with more than 20 years of international experience in the industry, has been appointed General Manager of Marmorosch Bucharest, Autograph Collection, the largest investment of the Lithuanian Apex Alliance group in Romania.

Considering this, with the support of my team, I will strive to put Marmorosch at the top of local destinations list, as it deserves”, said Harmen Silver, General Manager of Marmorosch Bucharest, Autograph Collection.

Following the upcoming opening this summer, Harmen Silver will oversee the overall operations and development plans for the first Romanian hotel that joined the Autograph Collection Hotels brand, created by Marriott International for modern travellers and guests, who seek immersive experiences.

As part of the business plans and strategy of Apex Alliance newest project, Silver will position the hotel as the leading five-star hotel in the city, with distinctive destination restaurants and bars, with features inspired by the banking history of the building. For 2022, the hotel looks to achieve an average occupancy rate of +70%.

Prior to joining the Marmorosch Bucharest journey, Harmen Silver has managed Château St. Gerlach – a Relais & Châteaux hotel in Valkenburg, the Netherlands. His international career has taken him from Amsterdam (Sofitel Legend the Grand Amsterdam) to London (London Hilton on Park Lane), to Berlin (Waldorf Astoria Berlin) and now to Bucharest, working only in five-star luxury hotels, all of them with Michelin starred restaurants.

Marmorosch Bucharest has a total of 217 rooms, split between Silver and Gold rooms, with the addition of Heritage suites, Platinum suites, and the spectacular Marmorosch Palace suite. Considering normal working conditions, in non-pandemic times, the hotel will have a staff of 110 people.
