BR’s upcoming Rising Cities. Smart Future 3rd Edition will feature an exclusive presentation on “Increasing resilience of cities and regions,” by EIB – JASPERS’ Ana Maria Lupascu (Senior Economist) and Gwendolyn Carpenter (Smart City Expert). The presentation will be streamed live on November 18, via BR’s Youtube channel & Facebook page, starting at 10 AM.

The EIB – JASPERS experts will share their insights on providing technical assistance to municipalities/local authorities to prepare EU funded projects.

Gwendolyn Carpenter is an internationally recognized strategist and expert on smart development in cities and urban economic growth, digital innovation & Public Sector Transformation and Social Impact.

Gwendolyn has extensive experience working with public administrations, international donors and NGOs around the world to deliver smarter government services and co-owned visions with a specific emphasis on social impact. This has included the development of action plans, the assessment of international trends, the development of impact assessment frameworks, the conceptionalisation of leading innovation projects for instance in incubating and accelerating social innovation, the assessments of risks and the development of accountable governance models.
