Transilvania Bank general manager resigns

Robert Rekkers has been at the helm of Transilvania Bank (BT) for 9 years and will be replaced by Peter Franklin, starting February, for an interim mandate.

Rekkers came to BT in 2002 for an initial mandate of 4 years that was prolonged 3 times by the board of administration.

Franklin joined the BT board of administration in 2010 after nominalization from the EBRD and starting February 1st will take the position of delegate administrator of the bank and the executive management committee.

Franklin has 37 years of experience in the banking sector, working for companies such as General Electric, HSBC, and The Chase Manhattan Bank. He graduated from Oxford University.
